What is the gospel?

Garden Tomb
Every single person has to face the truth that there are two ways to live. We can live for ourselves, our careers, our families, earthly treasures, and earthly pleasures. Or we can receive the message of the Bible by faith, repent of our sins, and have our lives transformed into something completely new. The Bible says that the first option is not really life at all. It says, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death" (Proverbs 14:12). The second option is the only way we may experience eternal life. The Bible says that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for sinners. It says that after that, He rose again from the dead so that those whom He saves by His death could have the hope of eternal life. The Bible says, Jesus "died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised" (2 Corinthians 5:15).

The message of the good news of Jesus Christ is the message of the church. We invite you to consider this message further at the web presentation Two Ways to Live. If you have any spiritual questions or would like some help understanding this good news, feel free to call the church at 770-475-6111 and ask for one of the pastors or e-mail Brett at bcottrell@crabapplefbc.org.

If the Lord has led you to repent and believe the Gospel, we would love for you to share that as well. You may either contact Brett at the church or come forward to share this publicly during the song of commitment at the end of our Sunday morning worship service.
